Common Behaviour Disorders In Children - Causes and Treatments

Death of a parent, family member, close friend or loss of house and property are something which could cause a person to feel frustrated, angry, insecure and be afraid. There are children who would not show immediate response to loss, but would eventually develop agitated attitude as an outlet of their emotions. Relax- Anger-induced behavior problems could easily be resolved by simply relaxing. Take a deep breath then imagine happy images. This strategy has been proven to be effective in calming angry people and making hot heads cool. Restructure cognition- Change the way you naturally think. For example, instead of cursing and yelling, you may just sit down and think of more positive thoughts when feeling angry. Showing your child positive approaches in dealing with issues can help him or her acquire those methods when he/she has to deal with behavior problems. If they see how you deal with problems, they are likely to imitate it and apply it on their own. - Always keep the communication lines open. This would help children overcome behavior problems. One of the major factors that trigger depression in teens is low tolerance to stress. Stress-a state in which a strong demand is made on the nervous system-greatly affects the general outlook of a person when it comes to different things. When stress becomes unmanageable to certain individual especially for a young one-it can result to deep set depression and even to nervous breakdown. Because they are not able to show off physical hyperactivity, they tend to take other outlets. Thus, they are more behaviorally deviant and are readily trying out dangerous adventures like trying out drugs and pre-marital sex. Girls with attention deficit disorder are also found to grow old to be underachievers. Children with difficult temperament are more likely to develop Conduct Disorder. The symptoms of Conduct Disorder may be found in people that do not really have it. As was mentioned above, almost everyone goes though an aggressive stage in their lives. But if the behavior happens more often, over a long stretch of time, and affects the social interactions, learning, and school adjustments of the child, then it may already be Conuct Disorder.
