Another great way if you are doing this at home is to allow the design to dry then turn the shirt inside out and throw it into the dryer for about 40 to 45 minutes on the highest heat setting. After this your design will hold up to laundering. If you use a paint that does not require heat setting then you should still set the design. While you can do this by hand the time factor makes airbrushing a better choice. Airbrush art can also be applied to the body to create temporary tattoos and thus uses the human body as a canvas for an artist's imagination. Cigarette lighters are also being used as a way for artist to show of their airbrush art. There are plenty of places to acquire stencils or get design ideas so that you can create your own stencils. If you do create your own stencils for airbrushing your automobile do not use paper to create your stencils. Automobiles need lots of paint and this will damage paper stencils rather quickly. So stick with plastic or vinyl material for your stencils. Then off course you will need airbrush paints that are designed for the human skin. This is usually referred to as airbrush tattoo ink. To finish up the process you will need talc powder and 70 percent alcohol. The stencils are available in a wide variety of designs thus giving you almost limitless creativity when using airbrush art to create tattoos.
