5 Self-Defense Moves Every Woman Should Know | HER Network

Women's Self Defense the Right Way In a world gone crazy there are more and more attacks are happening to women on a daily basis. Women's self defense is becoming more important to protect you from theft, rape, or even death. If you are being stalked or about to be attacked there are several ways you can protect yourself from such a horrible experience. The next phase of women's self defense in the military is bayonet training. Here the soldier will learn how to kill a man using her bayonet either on her rifle or in her hand. She will learn that the bayonet can slash the throat of her attacker by coming down at an angle in a downward motion. She will be taught how to stick the bayonet into her attacker's body, twist it to cause the most internal damage possible, and then pull it from his body. You need to be ready when the moment comes so that you can protect what is precious to you, your dignity, your body, and your life. A women's self defense course can be easily found within your community. Call your local law enforcement agency and ask if they offer the service. Sometimes your YMCA will host a women's defense course which is at a low cost or sometimes free. You will glad you did when you make it through a dangerous experience safely and intact. Always be prepared for an attack from someone who wants to do physical or sexual harm to you. Carry something in your purse or on your person that will be a deterrent to your attacker. A can of pepper spray or mace is great. If your child is in a stroller have one of these locators placed on the stroller or on a wrist band like a watch. Another good idea supported by women's self defense experts is to travel with another mother when you are out and about. Four eyes are better than two and you can take turns watching out for each other's children as you shop. Do not carry any dangerous weapons in your purse like guns or knifes. The thief could use the weapons against you. Women's self defense does little good when your own gun or knife is pointing at you. Also carrying weapons in your purse might be against the law. It would also be sad if that weapon was stole from you and another person was hurt with it.
