Hazard Assessment Hazards probability are conducted by safety engineers, managers and other factory wizards and rightly so. There is however affectivity levels among managers. Textbook cases, construction authorities, and other safety concerns and precautions are good tools to foresee, predict, and decrease probabilities. Boxes and bundles, cables, wires and items carelessly piled are tripping hazards. Most times, these are just oops events, other times they are not. Look before you sit. Incidents of someone missing the seat often promote silent giggles but this actually could happen to anyone who would not take the time to reach for the chair before sitting down. Organized chaos though is for show. It does not have anything to do with safety and efficiency. Good housekeeping is improving profitability. Legal yes, but if legalities are the main motivators, the span of involvement is short. The understanding is limited too. Sooner, clutter piles up. When that happens, downtime is incurred loosing man-hours, mishandling of materials and equipment, costly repairs, cause employee demotivation and even accidents. The point is, when this is true with large companies; imagine how it is with the smaller ones. To think that smaller companies need as much training of their employees if not more. Since this cannot be totally avoided, ensure training quality, by including the new recruit to attend the next larger training seminar even when the topics discussed are similar. Most victims of this accident are elderly employees who have lesser control over their balance. 3.) Falls To Lower Level Falling from stairways, roofs, ladders and other elevated areas are the top three most common workplace accidents in 2009. It has consistently been among the top three incidents for the past couple of years. If you are not bringing a lot with you, use ordinary bags or coat pockets to transport the items. Advertise that you are protected. Anything that would make it look obvious that the money is useless when stolen would deter criminals from taking your money. For example, mark the money using methods that can be detected by authorities.
