In the aftermath of such events, the funnel web spider redoubles its level of activity so as to get its life back on track. The size of the species varies from 1.5 to 4.5 centimeters for the body length; they are mono-color, dark brown usually, without any patterns at all. The only distinct element of the male funnel web spider is a swelling on the second leg and the spinnerets located at the end of the abdomen. The truth is somewhere in between: the camel spider lives in the Middle East countries, and it has become known in the United States and the rest of world after US troops have come across some specimens. The camel spider is even falsely called a spider, since the species is cataloged under a different name in the zoological categories. A special feature of the wolf spider is the position of the eyes on the body; the four pairs are arranged in very unique ways, with four small eyes in a bottom row, two large ones placed in the middle and two middle-sized ones on the top row. The specificity of their vision organs is the one that ensures the survival of the species since the wolf spider depends on the eyesight to hunt. Though many patients fail to turn to medical intervention for the matter, the use of antihistamines, anti-venom and antibiotics can prove of great help. Yet, we should nevertheless mention the fact that research on none of these treatments has been conclusive enough to be established as a general remedy for the brown recluse spider bites. The female black widow spider is more venomous than the male, and it is she the biggest threat to predators. Nevertheless, the red color helps the males too in order to send the same threatening message as the female. While the males move freely in their habitat, the females usually spend their entire lives in just one place, as they very seldom leave their nests. Trapdoor spiders may also have parallel bars on the abdomen, but this is not always the case, since diversity is at home even within the range of the same species. Trapdoor spiders are not that easy to identify since there are other similar species for which they are often mistaken: the funnel-web spiders and the mouse spiders are the most relevant examples here.
