It lives in its natural habitat in boulders on shores of the Galapagos Islands. These iguanas are also living in marshlands on beaches and mangrove. Marine iguanas are said to be blackish in color and prospering on the sea. Normally, these are not black. Their young ones have a biaxial stripe and the fully grown marine iguanas have grayish color. In addition, they also feed on some worms like: rare juicy mealworm, cricket, and wax worm. Iguanas also eat a few different varieties of dark leafy greens and fruits in some parts of America. A few types of iguanas grow very fast. They become five times lengthier and gain the weight about hundred times when they become an adult as compared to their size after hatchling. You can place a few pieces of rocks, drift woods, broad limbs, branches etc. for climbing of iguanas. Water: Generally, iguanas quench their thirst for water by the vegetation consumed from plants and the food they take. In addition, they will take water when inside the tank from wood and leaves inside their tank. If you interact with your pet daily, it will make him more homely and it will have confidence in you. An open cage may not be suitable in view of the climate, and iguana will feel cold and may become sick. The closet is a better alternative in that respect to provide the heated place with a controlled temperature.
