The first thing a man looks for in a female victim is clothing. They will look for a woman whose clothing is easily removed for a sexual assault. Short skirts are a magnet because the man only has to lift the skirt to get to the target. Other things include a low cut blouse or a t-shirt. The most accessible clothing for the attacker is over alls. Domestic abuse is the number one reason a woman should take a woman's self defense class. Many women suffer physical, emotional, and psychological abuse from their partners, boyfriends, or husbands. Even children and teenagers have been known to attack their girlfriends or mothers. You have to know how to protect yourself and protect your children from harm. When one has provided their own transportation, they can leave as soon as the opportunity arises and still, perhaps, salvage an evening. The practice of meeting a new suitor instead of allowing the man to come to your home has additional advantages. A smart woman should not give out her address and personal information to strangers, but when one allows the unknown date to come to her home, she is doing just that. If you are attacked with your child, put your child down or away from the potential attacker. Place yourself between the assailant and your kid. Use the defense techniques that the women's self defense class has taught you and run after the assailant is disabled. Of course if you have any chance to escape with your child, do so immediately. Many communities have athletic gymnasiums which offer martial arts classes or even specific women's self defense courses. School systems also often sponsor learning seminars which will include a class in women's self defense. In addition, many local agencies sponsor these instructional classes for little or no cost.
